Julie Whitney Wainscoat

After graduating from the University of Nevada in Reno in
1985, Julie opened her own gallery and art studio in Kings
Beach, Ca., featuring paintings, photography, and custom
furniture. “I love photography and use my images to create
my paintings,” says Julie of her new series of boat paint-
ings inspired by her summers with her family at their
fishing resort in Huron, South Dakota, and summers spent
at Lake Tahoe when her family relocated to the Tahoe area.
“Reflections, geometric lines, and vivid colors are the focus
of most of my realism-styled paintings.” Her paintings,
photography, murals, and customized furniture pieces are
in private collections in over 60 different homes and
public places in the United States, British Columbia,
and Greenland.
